We received a lot of submissions, and several categories were pretty heated! Several of the nominees know theyre in, as their fan bases came our strong. But there were several that were able to sneak in at the end - one nominee even received their last vote (the one that pushed them into the top five) just seven minutes before the deadline! So here they are, the 2012 About.com Charlotte Readers Choice Award nominees. These were the top five in their respective categories, and now its on to a reader vote, which opens February 22.
